After obtaining the license from the competition office and meeting other conditions, the acquisition of Foxpost was successfully completed, so the well-known domestic startup continues its success story with an international owner. Wallis Group and Trueway (previously known as Finext), the dominant player in the Hungarian package vending machine market, sold to the international investor consortium that also owns Packeta Group, the market leader in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

It received the license from the competition office, and all other closing conditions were met, so the acquisition of one of the best-known Hungarian startups, Foxpost, became final. The Hungarian package vending machine service provider was purchased by CVC Capital Partners, which also owns the Packeta Group, and EMMA Capital Group, after Wallis Group, Trueway, and the founders decided to sell it. During the process, the sellers’ transaction advisor was Heal Partners, and their legal advisor was the Forgó, Damjanovic and Partners Law Firm.

Foxpost, which started in 2014 with 62 machines, is a real Hungarian startup success story, which was helped with capital and management experience by two key players in the domestic private investor market. With the support of the Wallis Group and Trueway, the company has thus become a dominant player in the domestic parcel vending machine market in recent years. Today, it has more than 1,200 machines across the country, has thousands of commercial partners, and will have delivered nearly 10 million packages in 2023. The current change of ownership supports Foxpost’s growth plan, the goal of which is for users to make use of continuously developing services in ever-increasing numbers.

Ádám Bengyel, the CEO and co-founder of Foxpost Zrt., said in connection with the closing of the transaction that following the committed role of Wallis and Trueway, the new, international ownership background will further support their growth plans, which aim to increase the number of users who use their services even more dynamically than before. circle.
