This transaction clearly serves Green Factory’s long-term goals: the group aims to become a leading player in the fresh processed vegetables market in Central and Eastern Europe.

Green Factory is one of the best-known food producers in the region specializing in the processing of fresh vegetables, salads, and related convenience products such as salad bowls. Through its well-established brands – including Fit&Easy and Primavega – the company holds a key market position in Poland, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, the Baltic States, and Germany. It is also a strategic partner of McDonald’s and supplies all major retail and HoReCa chains in the region.

“This transaction opens up entirely new opportunities for us in the region, especially by entering the Romanian market and strengthening our presence in Hungary. By working together with Eisberg’s experienced and dedicated team, we will build a more innovative and competitive organization that delivers even more value to our partners and consumers while also offering new career opportunities to our employees.”

– said Artur Rytel, CEO and Chairman of the Board of Green Holding.

With over three decades of presence in Hungary, Eisberg has become a category-defining brand in the field of pre-packaged salads and salad mixes. In 2023, the company underwent a full-scale renewal – with a fresh visual identity, new packaging, and the “Colour Your Life” slogan, drawing attention to the importance of a balanced, health-conscious lifestyle. Eisberg has also been actively supporting initiatives and events promoting healthy living for years – such as the Terézanyu writing contest, the Hospital School program, and various mass sports events.

“With this acquisition, Eisberg’s Hungarian and Romanian teams will continue their operations as part of an international group that places strong focus on the region. Our clear objective from now on is to become the leading salad company in the region – but what will not change is our commitment to quality, freshness, and responsible nutrition.”

– emphasized Gyula Pál, Managing Director of Eisberg Hungary Kft.

Green Factory is owned by the Green Holding group, whose business model spans the entire food supply chain – from salad cultivation to manufacturing and logistics. The group includes Green Crops (traditional agricultural production in Poland and Italy), SVI – Smart Vegetables Innovations (hydroponic greenhouse cultivation for year-round supply), and GFL, a logistics company ensuring fast and efficient delivery for Green Holding’s companies and partners.

Thanks to vertical integration, Green Factory guarantees fresh, high-quality products tailored to consumer needs and customer expectations. With its strong market position and ongoing investments in innovation, the company is setting new industry standards for fresh convenience foods across the region.
