Worker numbers and salaries

In the accommodation and hospitality sector 187,000 people were working in 2019 – 3.7 percent more than in the previous year. Their average gross salary was HUF 240,000, 13 percent more than in 2018. The average gross salary of those working in the hospitality segment was HUF 219,000, which was 12.4 percent more than a year before. In the fourth quarter of 2019 there were more than 2,600 unfilled positions in the sector.
