The Directorate of Environmental Sustainability was established in the Office of the President
From 1 January, the Office of the President (KEH) was expanded with a new organizational unit – the Directorate of Environmental Sustainability – Áder János head of state announced on Monday in his press release, in the Sándor Palace. The new Board of Directors is led by Csaba Kőrösi previous UN ambassador.
The President told the journalists that both short and long-term reasons explain the creation of the new department. He drew attention to the long-term causes that environmental sustainability is a task that affects all the people. He said that the development, which is called today as sustainable development, in many scientists view – is unsustainable in its current form. (MTI)
