Will there be drone food delivery in Hungary?
Foodora has reached a milestone, being the first to start delivering food with drones, in cooperation with the companies Tele2 and Aerit. The innovation will be implemented for the first time in Sweden, where it will be available every day of the week in the area of Värmdö near Stockholm, divided by islands. Péter Garay, the operational director of Foodora Hungary, said that although the service has not yet arrived in our country, the company is closely monitoring and planning its introduction.
In his opinion, in Hungary it is not typical for delivery locations to cause a particular problem, so he can imagine the innovation in areas where it could be easier for the couriers. As an example, he mentioned larger office buildings or closed campuses, where it can take several minutes for a courier to find a customer.
At the same time, he emphasized that courier partners will continue to be indispensable, and that technology will serve more as a helping hand in the future.
