There will be plenty of apples this winter
This year brought more favorable yields for many agricultural crops, in contrast to the drought period of the previous year. Apple, as the fruit grown in the largest volume, for example, yielded 23.7 tons per hectare, which is more than double the previous year.
No significant changes are expected in terms of the crop structure, and according to agricultural experts, the crop rotation cannot be changed drastically in a short period of time. Based on the report published by the Agricultural Economics Institute (AKI) in mid-November, the planned area of autumn-sown crops is 1.7 million hectares this year, while the planned area of spring-sown crops is 1.6 million hectares.
The planned sowing of winter cereals was carried out on 1.5 million hectares, where the planned sowing area of winter wheat decreased by 3.4 percent compared to the previous year.
The sowing of autumn rapeseed was almost identical to the previous year, on 185.1 thousand hectares, and the work was completed by the middle of November.
