Less sugar in Nestlé products
Until 2020 Nestlé will reduce its sugar use in Europe by 18,000 tons. As a result of this decision, the sugar content of the company’s products will drop 5 percent on average in the next 3 years. In the last three years Nestlé cut the sugar content of products in Europe by more than 11,000 tons. From the end of 2014 Nestlé breakfast cereals for children only contain 9 grams of sugar per portion in Hungary. The new Nesquik chocolate powder drink mix has 50 percent less sugar than before.
