Pie Festival in Varsány
The fifth Pie Festival of Varsány will be held Saturday in Varsány, Nógrád county, where for the first time not only the most delicious cake will be rewarded, but also the best serving and the youngest the oldest pie maker as well.
Varga Nóra, the program’s organized told MTI that the fried pies will be tasted by the jury during the live shows. In the competition, eight Varsány-based group will participate.
The participants of the pie festival can also taste Palóc dishes. The list of performing artists will be Kármán József Theater of Losonc, the Varsányi Ifjúsági Együttes, the Garagulya Gólyalábas Komédiás Kompánia and the KiViszi Színházi Műhely. Majorette, zumba, belly dancing archery, arts and crafts fairs, and horse riding will provide a great entertainment for the guests. (MTI)
