Prices and wages shoot up in Poland
Prices of Polish goods and consumer services in September rose by 2.3%, compared to September 2006 – economists forecasted a rise of 1.9%.
At the same time, gross wages in September rose by 9.5%,
compared to September last year. The average gross wage in September was 2,858.83 zloty (just over 1000 USD).
The Central Statistical Office also informed that this September 5,192.0
thousand people were employed in companies, i.e. 4.7% more than in September
last year and 0.2% more than last month.
