In Poland, industrial production increased and the decline in producer prices slowed in June on an annual basis
In Poland, against the expected decrease, industrial production increased year-on-year in June, when the decrease in producer prices slowed down more than expected, according to the report of the Polish Statistical Office (GUS) on Thursday.
In June, industrial production increased by 0.3 percent year-on-year after a 1.6 percent decrease in May. Analysts polled by the Polish news agency PAP expected a 1.1 percent drop in June.
In June, industrial production increased by 3.2 percent compared to May, experts expected a smaller increase of 1.8 percent in a monthly comparison.
It was also announced on Thursday that producer prices fell by 6.1 percent in June, more modestly than the 6.3 percent estimated by analysts, following the 7 percent fall in May. On a monthly basis, producer prices increased by 0.1 percent instead of the stagnation expected by experts.
