Polish recognition to the Eger wine region and to the Tokaj Aszú
The Polish Wino (Wine) professional magazine gave the Best Wine Region of the Year to the Eger wine region. In addition, among the category of sweet wines the 1999 vintage 6-butt Tokaji Aszú wine of the Bodnár winery won the Gold Medal.
The bi-monthly professional magazine distributed 27 prizes. The winners introduced themselves to the Polish audience on Wednesday in the scope of a wine tasting: Thirty winemakers intoduced two hundred wines. The featured guest of the presentation is the award-winning wine region of Eger, represented by such winemakers as Gál Tibor, Gál Lajos and Thummerer Vilmos which among others. (MTI)
