Unilever expands
Unilever announced its annual global datas, on the 4th of February. Although in the last quarter of last year, the company's sales grew by only 1.8 percent. The turnover in the entire year increased by 3.5 percent.
Beside the 3.5 percent increase in turnover, a 2.3 percent increase in volume is occured. The company increased its expenditure, spent on advertising and promotions by 0.8 percent globally.
In Hungary, because of the country's economic situation, the consumers preferred the cheaper products and shifted to own branded products. However, the claim for favorable prices was completely satisfied by Unilever brands, including the Baba and Flóraszept products.
