The Romanian retail trade grew by 6.4 percent
The volume of Romanian retail sales grew by 6.4 percent in the first quarter of this year, compared to the same period of the previous year – the Romanian National Statistical Institute anounced on Friday.
According to the seasonally adjusted and calendar-adjusted index, the growth was 7.4 percent.
Growth was mainly due to the sales of food, beverages and tobacco that increased by 9.5 percent, while the sales of non-food products grew by 7.3 percent, and sales of fuel by 0.5 percent. (MTI)
