dm-drogerie markt is in top form
The first Hungarian dm store opened in Budapest in July 1993. Currently they have 256 units all over Hungary and employ 2,251 people. In the 2010/11 fiscal year dm’s turnover was HUF 65.85 billion in Hungary, growing from the previous year despite economic recession. dm also managed to increase its share of the Hungarian market. dm stores sell two dozens of private labels and 400 products belong to the biggest of these. The number of loyalty card holders has almost reached one million and these customers are responsible for 70 percent of total sales. dm’s CSR campaign raises awareness of the dangers of sunshine and teaches children how to protect themselves from the harmful rays of the sun. With the help of customers dm reached nearly 300 kindergartens and provided them with protective lotions for free.
