Can we play a tortilla on a record player – Video of the day
A YouTuber inspired by a hoax video of a tortilla on a record player created a video showing “an actual playable tortilla record etched with a laser cutter.”
The video, uploaded to YouTube by Rapture Records, shows the tortilla being converted into a vinyl-style record in a laser cutter before being placed in a player, which then emits “The Mexican Hat Dance,” or “Jarabe Tapatio.”
“Recorded using the Numark PT-01 with a spare 78 diamond needle,” the video's description reads. “It's an uncooked flour tortilla. Edible, but tastes burnt.”
The user said some experiments were conducted before the attempt in the video.
“Cooked tortilla are lumpier in comparison and are more prone to shredding when played,” Rapture Records wrote.
