The time for restrictions is over: international tourism could grow greatly this year
The latest figures from the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) predict a significant breakthrough: experts expect global tourism to grow by an average of 55 percent by 2022, after a 4 percent increase last year. Although the 645 million tourist arrivals forecast for this year are still less than half of the nearly 1.5 billion in 2019, the number of tourist arrivals in 2019 is expected to increase during the year, and with it a dynamic increase in hotel demand.
