Magazine: Always at hand
Consumers pay more attention to skin care in the winter months. Cold, wind, heating and a hot bath or an ill-chosen cream can all dehydrate the skin, especially the hands and the face. In this period it is advisable to match face creams not only with skin type, but also with the given situation (whether one spends the day inside or outside, etc.). Lips are also dehydrated easily so consumers also hear a lot about the importance of lip balms. Many families use body lotions for all skin care purposes – NIVEA Soft universal cream perfectly fits this trend. In the new-design packaging we find a cream with vitamin E and jojoba oil. Unilever’s Dove brand focuses on the importance of hydration in the autumn-winter season. Pro-Age products are a good solution for mature women, while Baba products provide gentle care to the skin of the whole family. According to Adrienn Vida, Unilever’s junior category operations manager it is our hands that we impose to weather conditions the most, so we have to pay special attention to hand care. Dove offers three types of products for this purpose: a daytime hand protecting balm serves general hydration purposes, Dove Pro-Age hand cream is for women above the age of 45 and there is a third product for extra dry skin. In June 2010 the company introduced Baba Chamomile Skin Care Cream and Baba Intensive Hand Care Cream – both products guarantee daily hand hydration to all members of the family. Melinda Jáger, Beiersdorf’s trade marketing manager told Trade magazin that hands need special protection.
NIVEA SOS Relief Body Lotion and NIVEA Hand SOS Intensive Balm come to the rescue when dry or irritated skin cries for help. NIVEA Express Hydration Hand Fluid acts swiftly when hands need extra hydration and leave no sticky feeling on the hands. NIVEA Hand Smooth Indulgence Cream contains vitamins B5 and F, and is capable of reactivating dry skin’s natural functions. NIVEA Q10plus Anti Age Hand Cream helps to preserve the flexibility of the skin, plus it contains UVA and UVB filters.
