Our best wines this year
This year’s National Wine Competition (OBV) broke previous records in terms of both the number of producers and entries: the 51-member jury evaluated 770 wines submitted by 223 wineries. Three grand gold medals, 119 gold medals and 112 silver medals were awarded. Winners of the most important categories: white wine – Varga Winery / Aranymetszés Fresh Italian Riesling 2017; rosé wine – Paulus Molnár Wine House Paulus Rosé 2017, Várszegi Pincészet Rosé 2017, red wine – Mészáros Wine House Bodzási Blaufrankisch 2015; frizzante – Fodorvin Family Winery Gyöngyike 2017; sparkling wine – Légli Vineyards and Winery Villa Boclar 2013; Best winery – Mészáros Wine House. //
