The German competition authority strikes back
The German Federal Competition Authority imposed a fine of 338 million euros on 21 meat processing companies and their leaders, due to cartelling – MTI wrote.
The fine affects the manufacturers of the most well-known German sausage and ham products, including Böklunder, Herta, the Meica and the Rügenwalder Wiesenhof brands.
The reasoning is that the companies entered into agreements with each other over the years and sold their product to the traders at a higher price. (index.hu)
