Degradable soap, recycled paper towels: this is how hygiene contributes to the protection of the Balaton environment
Laposa Borterasz became the first restaurant in Balaton to receive the sustainability recognition of one of the world’s leading hygiene companies. Thanks to Tork’s solutions, the restaurant in Badacsony provides its guests with biodegradable handwashing soap made from 99% natural ingredients, which does not harm aquatic life, and the paper products used are 100% recycled. The recognition is the latest development in the cooperation between Tork and the Balatoni Kör, which stands for quality hospitality, for five years now, as sustainability occupies a prominent place among the goals of both organizations.
For the first time, Tork, one of the world’s leading hygiene companies, the professional brand of Essity, displayed its award expressing commitment to sustainability at a restaurant in Balaton. The award was given to the Laposa Borterasz, which is part of the Laposa Estate in Badacsony and welcomes guests with wines produced on the southern slopes of Badacsony and bistro dishes made from local ingredients. Among other things, the award acknowledges that, thanks to Tork’s solutions, the restaurant provides handwashing soap made from 99% natural ingredients, and the paper products used in the kitchen, guest area, and washrooms are 100% recycled, from responsible and environmentally friendly production, the used dispensers are carbon neutral.
