Asda stops testing refill stations
Asda will discontinue testing its refill stations, citing challenges in the current form of the initiative’s operation.

Cost, convenience, cleanliness and perceived product quality were the main barriers that prevented customers from engaging with the refill option. Asda will use the lessons learned from the trial in one store since 2020 and three more since 2021 to launch new scalable trials to increase customer uptake of refillable products.
