János Lázár: family businesses can be the engine of the Hungarian economy
The engine of the Hungarian economy can be those family businesses with growth potential, the Minister of Construction and Transport declared on Thursday in Szeged.
János Lázár added at the event presenting the developments of the pharmaceutical company Goodwill Pharma Nyrt., that is why the government decided to use a significant part of the European Union and domestic funds now and in the near future to support the growth-capable, export-oriented, research and development also active Hungarian-owned enterprises.
In addition to the high-tech automotive enterprises located in various parts of the country, the politician mentioned the food and pharmaceutical industries, which can bring significant development to the areas around Pécs, Szeged and Debrecen.
Szeged has the conditions for the development of both the food and pharmaceutical industries. The turning point of the city may be that the knowledge available at the University of Szeged (SZTE) becomes a business result. So far, few people have been ready and able to implement this – said the minister. At the same time, he emphasized that the government is ready to provide all support so that the SZTE, which is maintained by the foundation, and the actors of the region’s economy are connected much more effectively than before.
