US retail is expanding slower
After the 0.4 of July, U.S. retail sales grew just by 0.2 percent in August. Analysts expected 0.4 percent.
The U.S. retail growth was the lowest since April. If the vehicles are filtered from the indicator, the increase is even smaller, only 0.1 percent.
However, the recent slowdown is compensated by the previous two months’ greater expansion. The July figures were revised from 0.2 percent to 0.4 percent, while the June datas from 0.6 to 0.7 percent. (portfolio.hu)
