Growth in retail sales slowed down in the United States
In December, retail sales in the United States increased at a lower rate than in the previous month, according to a statement released by the Census Bureau on Friday.
In December, retail sales increased by 0.4 percent in the United States after the 0.9 percent growth of November. The growth in December met the analyst’s expectations.
In December, retail sales increased by 5.4 percent, after the 6.0 percent annual increase of November.
Retail sales grew by 4.2 percent in 2017, compared to the previous year. Annual growth was 3.2 percent in 2016. (MTI)
