The delivery of postal items outside Europe has slowed down and become more expensive
The delivery of postal items outside Europe has slowed down and become significantly more expensive due to the coronavirus epidemic – Panulin Ildikó, a spokesperson for Magyar Posta Zrt. told Kossuth Radio on Thursday.
The spokesperson said the current situation was due to a drastic reduction in flights at the beginning of the pandemic. In addition, many companies have set an emergency surcharge, which the Post Office cannot do.
Eighty percent of the packages ordered come from outside the European Union, mostly from the United States and China. (MTI)
