Inflation has slowed in the euro area
Energy prices also rose the most in June, by 12.6 percent. The price of food, alcohol and tobacco products rose 0.5 percent and services by 0.7 percent.
Excluding energy prices, consumer prices rose by 0.8 percent year-on-year, and core inflation, which does not include volatile energy, food, alcohol and tobacco prices, was 0.9 percent. Both values are 0.1 percentage points lower than in the previous month. (MTI)
