Growth in life expectancy has slowed in the EU
Life expectancy in the European Union is one of the highest in the world, but the continued growth in life expectancy has slowed down and there are still significant differences between countries and within countries – the European Commission and the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD ) announced on Thursday.
According to the Health Snapshot: Europe 2018 publication, life expectancy has recently increased rapidly and steadily in EU Member States. However, since 2011 this growth has slowed down considerably. (MTI)
