Employment has continued to rise in the EU and in the euro area at a slowing pace
Employment in the European Union and the euro area continued to rise in the third quarter at a slowing pace.
According to preliminary data released on Wednesday by the EU Statistical Office (Eurostat), the number of employed persons in the euro area of 19 EU countries increased by 0.2 percent, compared to the previous quarter and by 1.3 percent, compared to the same period of last year from July to September.
