Wine production is expected to slow in France
Exports of French wines and spirits were remarkably high in the first half of 2021, exceeding pre-coronavirus levels in several markets, but this year’s wine production is expected to be at record lows due to April frosts and heavy summer rains.
“In the still uncertain international situation, French wine and spirits exports jumped 42.8 percent in the first half of the year (compared to the first half of 2020) to 7.25 billion euros,” the French Exporters’ Association (FEVS) announced in a statement. (Venczel Katalin, MTI)
