Tesco puts Fresh & Easy rollout on hold
With almost 60 stores now open since its launch in November 2007, Tesco has taken the decision to take a three month break from opening any new Fresh & Easy stores on the west coast of the USA.
According to a blog written on the
Fresh & Easy website by Simon Uwins, Fresh & Easy's Marketing
Director, the planned halt to the roll-out will allow the business to
settle down and to make improvements to its existing stores. Uwins
did however confirm that Fresh & Easy stores continue to make
positive momentum, further strengthening Tim Mason's statement that
"every single week brings good news as sales, customer numbers
and repeat visits are all growing."
