Growth in the euro area has slowed
The performance of the private sector in the euro area has slowed down in October slightly, but employment has been expanded to a decade high level.
According to the first estimate published on Tuesday by the IHS Markit Market Research Institute, the euro area’s purchasing manager index (PMI) covering the performance of the manufacturing and service sectors, dropped to 55.9 points in October from the 56.7 points in September. Analysts expected 56.5 points. (MTI)
