Magazin: More land used to grow wheat on the Northern Hemisphere
Data from the Agricultural Economics Research Institute (AKI) and KSH’s market price information system (PÁIR) revealed that farmers will soon finish sowing wheat seeds on the Northern Hemisphere. According to the experts of Tallage, wheat will be grown on a larger area than before in the European Union, on 23.8 million hectares. In Hungary the Ministry of Agriculture informed that wheat is going to be grown on 966,000 hectares of land. The export price of raw milk was HUF 110.91/kg in Hungary in October 2017. This price was 3 percent lower than in September 2017, but 4 percent higher than in October 2016. The export price was 12 percent higher than the average price for which milk was purchased from dairy farmers. //
