Specialties at the scone festival this weekend

In addition to grilled or fried, a variety of traditional flavored scones will be represented at the first Kürtőskalács (scone) festival this weekend in the City Park of Budapest.

The festival aims to promote the Hungarian sweet and familiarize widely its traditional making method with the visitors – András Tünde the event’s director told at a press conference on Friday, in Budapest.

During the three days of the festival, children programs magicians and puppet performances will await the children, while among others, the Indygo band, the Sugarloaf, Heaven Street Seven and the Keresztes Ildikó Band will be the main music acts. The festival will end with the live shows of the Hot Jazz Band and the Balkán Fanatik on Sunday. (MTI)
