Separate exhibition deals with smart cities at CES next year
The world’s largest technological demonstration, the CES is organizing a stand-alone Smart Cities program in Las Vegas between 9-12 January 2018 that will showcase the intelligent transport, energy management and smart networks, public security, health, data analysis and security, artificial intelligence, city management and urban development policy in the near future – the US Consumer Technology Association (CTA), the organizer of CES told MTI.
The cities of the future will be based on smart, networked technologies, and the spread of 5G in the near future will result in explosive development in the area, according to experts.
“It is projected that the value of Smart City developments will reach nearly 34.5 billion USD globally by 2020,” Gary Shapiro, CTA Chairman and CEO said, adding that the CES offers a platform for companies in the segment, which can jointly seek answers to questions that determine the future. (MTI)
