KSH: an increase in the cattle population
The increase of the cattle population is continueing since December 2010. The number of sheep in the last six months increased slightly, while the number of pigs fell slightly. The poultry population shows an increase, proper to the seasonal effects, compared to December – the Central Statistics Office (KSH) published on Thursday.
According to preliminary datas, on 1 June this year, 758 thousand cattle, 2,892 million pigs, 34 million chickens and 1.2 million sheeps were registered in Hungary.
