KSH: the number of Internet subscriptions continued to increase
The number of Internet subscriptions continued to increase in the first quarter 2015 and reached 7.4 million, which is 12 percent more than in the same period of the previous year –according to the website of the Central Statistical Office (KSH).
According to the Central Statistical Office (KSH), more than 93 percent of the subscriptions is provided by 7 service providers, due to the ongoing concentration of the market.
In the period under review 81 percent of the Internet subscriptions were private, while 19 percent of them are business subscriptions. Compared to the same period of the previous year it is a 2 percentage points shift towards private subscriptions. (MTI)
