KSH: employment continued to increase further
In May and July this year, the number of employees was 4 million 224 thousand, 139 thousand, and 3.4 percent higher than a year before – the Central Statistical Office announced on Friday (KSH).
The number of employees also increased by 23 thousand compared to the previous quarter. Their number last time crossed the threshold of 4 million at the beginning of the year, while in June to August 2014 it was 4.1 million and in this year's second quarter 4.2 million.
4 million 189 thousand employees belonged to the age group of 15-64 years, 135 thousand more than a year before, their employment rate increased by 2.6 percentage points to 64.1 percent. (MTI)
