KSH: a further slowdown in the growth of agricultural producer prices
The rate of growth in the agricultural output prices was further slowing in April. The purchase prices were 11.5 percent above the level of a year earlier, after the 14.6 percent rise of March – the Central Statistics Office (KSH) announced on Thursday.
The price of cereals was 18.4 percent higher in April, than a year earlier, while in March, the producer price increase was 25.9 percent. In case of wheat, the January peak did not reach the record price levels of March 2011. In case of maize it was slightly higher. Prices declined slightly in case of both products, since the peak in January. (MTI)
