KSH: cattle stocks increased
Among the main species the number of cattle in the past six months increased, while the number of sheep and pigs reduced. The poultry population has changed proper to the seasonal changes – announced the Central Statistics Office (KSH) on Friday.
According to the communication; the number of cattle on the 1st of December 2011 was 698 thousand, increasing by 16 thousand since December 2010. The cattle stocks in the past fifteen years, still remains below 700 thousand, despite continuous growth – reports MTI.
