KSH: agricultural producer prices continued to decline
In April, the price of plant products was 7.4, while the price of live animals and animal products was 9.0 percent lower, than a year before. The agricultural producer prices were 8.0 percent lower than in 2014 – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Friday.
In April, the producer price of cereals was 16.1, the producer price of of potatoes was and the price of fruits was 9.5 percent lower than in the same period of the previous year. However, the price of vegetables rose by 16.6 percent. The producer price level of live animals declined by 6.4 percent. The annual decline in agricultural producer prices lasts since July 2013.
