KSH: more than one and a half million tourists spent a night in Budapest in the first half of the year
At the commercial accommodations in Budapest 1 million 550 thousand tourists spent a night in the first half of the year, 4.5 percent more than last year – according to the Central Statistics Office’s (KSH) fresh Central Hungary publication.
The number of foreign guests, giving the four-fifths of the tourist traffic increased by 3.9 percent, while the number of domestic tourists increased by 8.5 percent compared to the same period of the previous year – the publication highlights.
The number of guests nights spent in Budapest increased as well. According to the datzas of the KSH, the number of guests nights spent in Budapest increased by 2.8 percent to 3 million 601 thousand guest nights in the first six months. (MTI)
