KSH: the number of foreign visitors increased at commercial accommodation establishments in September
In September, the number of foreign visitors increased by 2.6 percent and the number of guest nights by 1.4 percent at commercial accommodation establishments; however, the number of domestic guests was 3.5 percent, and the number of guest nights was 4.7 percent, compared to the same month of last year – the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Tuesday.
The 2.593 million overnight stays at commercial accommodations were 1.3 percent lower than in September last year. The hotel occupancy rate was 66.4 percent, 0.3 percentage points lower than a year before. The average price of rooms increased by 8.1 percent, exceeding 24,000 HUF. Revenue per room (REVPAR) for hotels increased by 7.6 percent to almost 16,000 HUF, while total revenue per room (TREVPAR) increased by 7.35 percent to 26,000 HUF. (MTI)
