KSH: in September, the volume of retail trade decreased by 7.3 percent
In September, according to raw data, the volume of retail trade decreased by 7.8 percent, adjusted for calendar effects, by 7.3 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported on Wednesday.
Compared to the previous year, the volume of sales in food and food-type mixed stores decreased by 2.3 percent, in non-food retail by 7.5 percent, and in fuel retail by 19.9 percent.
Compared to the previous month, the volume of retail trade remained essentially unchanged according to data adjusted for seasonal and calendar effects. In January-September 2023, the volume of traffic – also according to calendar-adjusted data – was 9.3 percent lower than in the same period of the previous year, KSH announced.
