In September 2025, the average gross salary of full-time employees was 687,100 forints, and the average net salary was 475,100 forints. The average gross salary was 9.5, the average net salary was 10.0, and the real salary was 5.5 percent higher than a year earlier, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Tuesday.
According to the report, the increase in the average net salary exceeded the increase in the average gross salary due to the higher family tax benefit introduced from July 1, 2025.
The median gross salary was 568,700 forints, and the median net salary was 397,400 forints, showing a 10.4 and 11.1 percent higher value than the same period of the previous year. period.
In September this year, the regular average gross salary (without bonuses, rewards, and monthly special allowances) was 660,400 forints, which is 9.3 percent more than in the same period of the previous year.
The regular average gross salary was 656,300 forints in enterprises, 664,200 in the budget, and 689,200 in the nonprofit sector, increasing by 8.6, 11.2, and 10.2 percent, respectively, in one year.
Real earnings increased by 5.5 percent in September compared to the same period of the previous year, with a 4.3 percent increase.
The gross median salary reached 568,700 forints, which was 10.4 percent higher than a year earlier. The median net salary was 397,400 forints, exceeding the same period of the previous year by 11.1 percent.
In January-September, the average gross salary of full-time employees was 691,200 forints, and the average net salary was 476,000 forints.
The average gross salary exceeded the value of the same period of the previous year by 9.1 percent, while the average net salary exceeded the value of the same period of the previous year by 9.2 percent.
