Perceived inflation may be higher than real
Official statistics give an accurate picture of the average price change in the economy as a whole, not subjective, individually perceived inflation, Quittner Péter, head of the Consumer Statistics Department of the Central Statistical Office (KSH), said in a statement issued by GKI on Thursday, according to which the population perceives twice as much as officially reported inflation.
