KSH: tourism has continued to grow
In October, the number of nights spent by foreign guests was 1.5, while the number of nights spent by domestic guests was 10.7 percent higher than in the previous year, and the total turnover grew by 5.6 percent, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) announced on Wednesday.
Total gross sales of commercial accommodations at current prices increased by 9.5 percent to 41 billion HUF, including accommodation revenue by 7.9 percent to 24 billion HUF, hospitality revenue by 5.1 percent to 8 billion HUF, revenue from other services by 19 percent to 9 billion HUF. Foreign accommodation revenue grew by 2.0 percent, domestic by 21 percent, compared to last year’s October. The occupancy rate of hotels increased by 1.4 percentage points to 60.7 percent. (MTI)
