KSH: consumer prices increased by 21.1 percent in October
In October, consumer prices exceeded a year earlier by an average of 21.1 percent. Consumer prices increased by an average of 2.0 percent in one month, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) reported on Wednesday.

Growth is about to continue
Core inflation – which shows the price change calculated for the consumer basket after excluding the prices of raw food, alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, household energy, vehicle fuels, subsidized medicines and officially priced services – rose from 20.7 percent in September to 22.3 percent.
The harmonized consumer price index in accordance with the EU methodology indicates October inflation of 21.9 percent. The difference basically stems from the fact that this also takes into account the consumption of foreigners in Hungary, who since May have not been able to refuel at the official price, but only at the market price.
