The volume of sales adjusted for calendar effects increased by 2.6 percent in food and food-type mixed stores, 4.6 percent in non-food retail, and 0.7 percent in fuel retail compared to the same period of the previous year.

Breaking down the 2.6 percent increase in the volume of turnover in food and food-type mixed retail, the Central Statistical Office announced that food-type mixed stores, which account for 77 percent of food retail, sales volume increased by 4.4 percent, while that of food, beverage and tobacco stores decreased by 3.4 percent.

Within the overall 4.6 percent increase in the volume of non-food retail trade, the sales volume increased by 5.4 percent in pharmaceutical, medical product and perfume stores, 4.5 percent in general stores of industrial goods, 2.1 percent in furniture and technical goods stores, and 1.4 percent in second-hand goods stores.

At the same time, the sales volume decreased by 0.8 percent in textile, clothing and footwear stores, and by 2.5 percent in book, computer and other industrial goods stores. turnover.

The volume of mail-order and online retail, which covers a wide range of goods and accounts for 11 percent of retail turnover, increased by 12 percent – the Central Statistical Office added.

In the first eleven months of the year, the volume of sales in food and food-related mixed retail trade increased by 2.6 percent, in non-food retail trade by 4.4 percent, and in fuel retail trade by 0.7 percent.
