KSH: the number of farmer organizations has increased
According to the preliminary data of the Agrárium 2016 (Agriculture in 2016) economic structural survey, 9 thousand agricultural enterprises and 416 thousand private farms carried out agricultural activities in 2016 in Hungary.
The number of organizations increased by 11 percent, while the number of individual farms decreased by 16 percent compared to the previous 2013 census – Tóth Péter, rural development, agricultural and environmental statistics department consultant of the Central Statistical Office (KSH), told at a press conference on Tuesday in Budapest.
