KSH: retail sales increased in September
Retail sales rose by 0.3 percent in September, compared with a year earlier, according to the calendary effect adjusted datas. The unadjusted index shows a 0.8 percent increase. The revised datas published on the website of the Central Statistics Office (KSH) on Tuesday are identical to the preliminary figures published on 6 November.
The driving force behind the increase was mainly due to the demand for car fuels, which grew by 3.1 percent, according to the calendary effect adjusted datas, while the food demand was 0.4 percent lower than in last September. The fuel consumption has registered a higher than average growth since April. (MTI)
